LAZY FRIDAY

SAM_0708
A rather frequently asked question. What do you do in your spare time? Asked in IELTS testing, job interviews, orientation week in school, and even when you're getting to know a stranger on the internet. And through my 2 minutes of research and study, I have concluded the ever repetitive answers:
1. Surfing the internet
2. Read my favourite novels
3. Watch TV
4. Keep up with the Kardashians
5. Catch up with my favourite TV Shows
6. Play an instrument
7. Draw

Its somewhat an annoying and depressing question to me. It sets the benchmark real high because looking at others, you are expected (by yourself) to actually have an activity to do when you have a few hours to spare.
I don't know about you, having to find something to do is tiring for me. What if you'd rather sit in your room, and daydream and look at old photos for an hour or so. Or what if you just wanna drive around and waste time instead of picking up a book to read?

Well friends, here are some ideas I think would enlighten you. Ideas to me that are fun, yet beneficial (in some ways).

Make an Outfit Plan
An idea I found from Claradevi's Lucedale. Its a really refreshing post you should definitely read. Definitely makes it easier for people who take hours to decide on what to wear (exhibit A, yours truly). When you basically have outfit plans in mind, its useful for future no-idea-what-to-wear you. :) Here's my take on Outfit Planning!

Spring Cleaning!
Well, this one's pretty standard. But the good thing is, you're sure to find the things you never knew you had (and still love) or, the things you'd want to donate or sell! Either way, you're doing good to yourself by being a wee bit more organised and PLUS, make room for new stuff too! *wink wink*

Bake Raya Cookies
I actually made my first batch of Raya cookies last night. They're dark chocolate cookies with white chocolate chips. Unfortunately, they were too moist, not cookie-material :( Oh well, I'm gonna attempt a 2nd batch tonight. Wish me luck!

So that's all for now. Have an awesome Ramadhan!

YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE

IMG_8874

So I told my mom that my last post was about Phuket and that I'm still eighteen 'on my blog'.
"Malas is clearly an understatement for your case, girl"

Well, since I practically have nothing on my plate at the moment, I vow to at least attempt to be a little less lazy with updating my blog. This time I'm serious. My blogshop will be edited to neaten things up, and I shall prove to myself (atleast) that malas is infact NOT an understatement for me. For those sweet sugar honey pumpkin pies who asked on whether, Ill be continuing the blog, yes I will. But quite frankly, Ill need time to source for better materials to sell in order to branch out instead of sticking to preloved clothes. Don't get me wrong, that was my intention at first, but the online clothing market is getting ultra competitive, so I'll need to do a lil better than simply sellling preloved sun dresses and tops to at least be noticed. Especially when online shoppers are resorting to Instagram instead of Blogger.

Without going into my hormonal rage against shopping on instagram, i mentioned having an empty plate earlier.By empty plates, I mean no more A Levels (yes, I graduated!), no more chemistry tests to study for on weekends for now, at least, and no more fixed regimes! I am beyond ecstatic about finally finishing my studies in KYUEM, however the morning of graduation, prom, and our last End of Semester Dinner, were all bittersweet moments. Let me just state here that an attempt to stay awake through General Studies would be relatively easier than trying to hold in my tears through the last week in college. To all my friends and those dearest to me, blood may be thicker than water, but friendship is thicker than both. And in 15 years' time or so, if I dont get wedding invitation cards from any of y'all, I'll be there. In black.

No bunch of people in the world would be able to replace the friends i made in KY. They're just the right mixture of beauty and intelligence, the funniest and goofiest group of people, and the greatest of friends who'd tie you to a light pole and bash you with buckets of rotten food (and nestum). Let me tell you, it takes work to actually preserve rotten food. The will power to withstand the smell for days even weeks, can only be found in true friendship k.

I love you guys more than life itself and I am eternally grateful to Allah for giving me the chance to have known all of you, even in this short yet biggest phase of my life. Alhamdulillah.

HOME

Hello beautiful people,
Im finally home after 3 nights in Perlis for a Biology trip and another 3 nights in Phuket, Thailand for a family getaway! It was all memorable and I wouldn't trade a single cat for it. Okay, that was lame but truth be told, I'm obsessed with cats. My cats.
To not drift away too much from the topic, here are some pictures from the beautiful Phuket ;)

So here's the view from our hotel:

We went shooting! My favourite part of the trip :) Only used a 9mm Caliber, not a Shotgun though but still! I was 60% accurate. Yes, I'm a happy kid.

We walked on the streets of Thailand, did some micro-shopping, and had amazing food. Oh, and here's dad:

We went for a 30 minute ATV ride which was so much fun. If any of you ever decide to go to Phuket, go for this. You'll thank me for it ;) And this dude here, is my brother.

Thats it from Thailand. If you feel like going away for the weekend, or in desperate need of a sweet escape, come to Thailand. Its beautiful and you don't need two layers of clothing or a walet full of cash just to survive the day.

PTERODACTYLS

What's love? Is it something we grew up believing in because of Nicholas Sparks novels-turned-movies or is it something our friends say to their lovers that we so hope we could say it to ours too. That is, if we have one. Maybe its a lie. Maybe its created by man to make people think what they want to think. The feverish kisses, the sickly feeling of missing that other person, or the pterodactyls in our tummies, day and night after the first date. Or maybe you just wish so badly that you're actually in that condition, hoping to feel like you're dancing in the clouds, skipping a heartbeat to the sound of his/her voice or even sweaty palms to the bare thought of that person. In a relationship or not, we're young spirited hearts and whether we're brave enough to admit it or not, we're secretly wishing to find our other half.

Why such a draggy post after a month of abandonment? Well, let's just say, my mind functions in  somewhat a tipsy way eversince my AS Levels exams started in college. Prom's getting closer, its next week, actually. Excitement level? Uncertain.

OUR PERFECT DISEASE

IMG_5930

Hello readers,
Havent blogged in a while. The urge just came to me in between studying Infectious Diseases, listening to Pat Benatar and drinking hot cocoa.
Seems like it was just yesterday that I was walking along Jalan Loke Yew looking for prom dresses with mom and at the same time worrying about the biggest exam in my life or so it was, two years ago. I remember convincing myself, its a once in a lifetime experience i'd absorb from or at least, only remember of.
Oh how God has his own plans. Its seems that history has, unfortunately repeated itself. I'm about to sit for my AS exams in May and prom again, in June. Jumping off a cliff, I am indeed.
This time, i know for sure which one to prioritize. I hope.
Meanwhile, I technically found a not so new artist we could listen to. Born in New Zealand, gorgeous, stylish, creative and a beautiful voice, somewhat jazzy. Im sure we all know her from Somebody that I Used to Know by Gotye

Definitely a must listen ;)

Last but not least, Happy Belated Birthday Iskandar Afiq! kanda

Happiness. Or a synonym to satisfaction according to the Oxford dictionary. Is it something essential, needed in our everyday life? Or is it just something we try to make ourselves believe in just to survive a long day of work? How can happiness be measured really?
Even the best dictionary in the world did not mention what it really is in the first place. Just a simple synonym was stated. And left at that.

College is starting to turn around. Chemistry's improving, Biology needs a bit of tweaking. So does Maths. Baby steps. My house, Sapphire was placed 2nd for the video competition. As predicted, Garnet won. Who's to blame, their video was Petronas worthy. Simple, yet straight to the point and hits you emotionally. Perfection.

CRAPOLAR IS THE NEW BIPOLAR

I dont feel like studying. Fullstop. A big non-existent fat one even. And yet i signed up for the hardest, longest (10 years of studying)course known to man. Call it passion for medicine but i guess tonight's just my off night. Room's feeling dark and blue and all I'm imagining are my kids and hot husband. In the future. How im gonna dress my baby girl with neon pink baby tights and a white tulip baby dress.
It's official. I need some medical attention. Or at least an attempt to face something educational. crapolar
While I was in between expectations and reality, I watched another tutorial by Tanya Burr on Lana Del Rey.
Impossible to imitate the sex goddess? Me think not.
